We received a troubling complaint regarding a scam involving the website Upbitexd.top.
The victim was initially contacted through a friend request on Discord, where they were guided step-by-step on how to invest their funds by linking their Coinbase wallet to the website.
It seemed like a legitimate opportunity initially, but things quickly turned dark.

After transferring the funds from Crypto.com to Upbitexd.top, the victim realized they could no longer withdraw them.
The website demanded a security deposit to release the balance, a classic red flag of scam operations.
When the victim attempted to comply, the account vanished, along with all the funds.
The victim reported losing $130,000 in this ordeal.
The scammers were thorough, using multiple phone numbers (213-397-6837, 415-463-9477, 929-669-8689) to add layers to their deception.
Unfortunately, the victim’s account was completely drained after making several transactions.
This is an all-too-common tactic where scammers lure victims into a false sense of security through continuous communication and seemingly legitimate requests, only to disappear once they’ve collected enough funds.
